International Youth Conference's Grassroot Impact
The International Youth Conference (IYC) has been a catalyst for change, empowering young people to transform their communities through knowledge, inspiration, and action. Participants from various editions of IYC have returned to their homes with renewed vigor, equipped with the skills and connections necessary to address pressing global challenges. From environmental initiatives to social justice projects, these youth-led efforts demonstrate the profound impact of IYC in fostering a generation of proactive, informed, and engaged global citizens.
Internship
Roles and Responsibilities:
Interns will have the chance to contribute to the following teams:
- Program and Impact Team
- Assist in creating session agendas and coordinating with speakers.
- Collect data and measure the impact of conference activities.
- Track delegate participation and compile impact reports.
- Communications and Partnerships Team
- Manage social media campaigns and outreach strategies.
- Draft press releases and create promotional materials.
- Help establish partnerships with sponsors and collaborators.
- Logistics and Special Projects Team
- Organize event logistics, including registration and on-site coordination.
- Coordinate technical requirements for remote and hybrid sessions.
- Support planning of workshops, panels, and networking events.
- Outcome and Support Team
- Draft the IYC11 outcome report summarizing key takeaways and next steps.
- Coordinate participant feedback and ensure follow-up on recommendations.
- Provide operational support across all teams to ensure smooth execution.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to youth aged 18–35 worldwide.
- Strong interest in youth leadership, diplomacy, and social development.
- Proficiency in tools like Google Workspace, Canva, and social media platforms is a plus.
- Commitment to the values of inclusivity, collaboration, and youth empowerment.

Commitment and Work Schedule
- Weekly Commitment:
- 8–10 hours per week (February to April 2025).
- 15–20 hours per week during May, with full availability from May 1–4, 2025.
- Work Environment:
- Hybrid model – Work remotely with onsite sessions at UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
